"A mentor is someone who sees more talent and ability within you, than you see in yourself, and helps bring it out of you." — Bob Proctor
Support For Helping Professionals
Supervision and consultation can be helpful if:
you feel overwhelmed or stuck with with a particular client or issue.
you want to be more effective working with difficult clients.
you want to feel more confident treating a breadth of clinical issues (anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, divorce, etc.).
you'd like to learn how to build and maintain a thriving therapy or counseling practice.
you'd like to discover effective marketing strategies for growing your private practice.
Being a counselor, therapist, or social worker in private practice can feel isolating at times. Regardless of the reasons why you decided to seek supervision or consultation, I'm glad you are here.
A Little Bit About Me
I tend to view symptoms as the mind and body's way of bringing awareness to the parts of us that seek deeper healing. I often find that each presenting problem or symptom makes sense to each client when it is viewed through the lenses of their culture and lived experience. When clients are willing to consider their symptoms as portals to deeper growth and healing, they can more easily access their natural growth potential.
In both therapy and supervision, my approach is strengths-based and eclectic. I borrow heavily from the principles of EFT, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy and Buddhism. I believe that most human suffering is a function of an unfulfilled wish for people, relationships or circumstances to be different than they are. When we meet this wish with radical compassion and acceptance, our minds are free to seek better or different alternatives to suffering.
If this approach sparks your interest or curiosity, we may be a good fit for supervision and consultation.
Whether you are looking to build your practice, augment your therapy skills, get help with a difficult case, or some version of all three, I'd love to explore how we can work collaboratively toward achieving your goals.
